Prospective or retrospective MRI motion correction
TracInnovations presents a unique markerless motion tracking system for MRI Motion Correction.
Motion during MRI: artifacts and repeated sequences
Motion during MRI scans results in artefacts and repeated sequences. Not only does this lead to image degradation which impairs the basis for diagnosis but it also necessitates repeated scans – which in turn can cause delays for the department.
According to Andre et al. (JACR 2015) motion was determined to be the cause of repeated sequences in ~20% of all MRI scans.

Additional annual cost to the clinic per scanner
Motion during MRI increases the expenses
According to Slipsager et al. (JMRI 2020) the use of anesthesia during MRI adds $320,000 additional cost to the clinic per scanner per year.
Prospective motion correction
TracInnovations’ unique technology captures head motion during a brain scan. Using advanced algorithms the motion data can be used to adjust MRI gradients during the scan and hereby eliminating motion artifacts. The motion correction happens continuously during scan.
Retrospective motion correction
TracInnovations’ unique technology captures and records head motion during a brain scan. Using advanced algorithms the motion data can be used to reconstruct a new image eliminating the effect of the motion artifacts offering a side-by-side comparison of original uncorrected and motion corrected images.
