Who we are

A decade of MRI motion expertise, now built for the clinic.

TracInnovations began in the MRI research community, highlighting motion for the people who study it most closely. That work now underpins a clinical product line built for everyday brain imaging.

Our mission

Make patient motion visible, measurable and manageable.

Motion is one of the most common causes of suboptimal brain MRI. It costs scanner time, delays reporting and sometimes patients are even required to return for examinations they have already endured. It is also, until the point of reporting, largely invisible.

We build the only markerless optical tracking technology that can monitor, inform and improve the clinical workflow around that problem — giving departments a measure of motion they can act on, and a route to correcting it when it happens anyway.

We continue to support the research community that shaped this technology, and we partner with leading organizations to keep this innovation moving forward.

Hear from the research community.

“The live motion traces allowed us to communicate with the participant's mother and ask if she had any ideas for how to coach him to stay still. And you can see how following her suggestion, we were able to get really great data for the remainder of the scan.”
Professor Morgan BarenseDirector of Toronto Neuroimaging Facility (ToNi), Ontario, Canada.,
“During the scan, having real time feedback on what motion is happening is incredibly valuable for the team at the time. They know when to stop the scans, when to carry on and so on. The markerless feature is really valuable in that it doesn't require us to do anything extra while we're setting up the scan.”
Professor Rhodri CusackDirector of Trinity College Dublin Institute of Cognitive NeuroScience (TCIN), Dublin, Ireland.,
“Based on the promising results from our ongoing collaboration, I am genuinely interested in exploring future commercial engagements with TracInnovations once the product reaches full commercialization.”
